Ted LaGrange is a character in Season 3 of True Detective played by Shawn-Caulin Young. Ted LaGrange is a convicted child sex offender who works in a daycare center under an assumed name. He is interrogated and beaten up by Wayne Hays and Roland West during their investigation into the disappearance of Will and Julie Purcell.
