Margaret "Maggie" Hart is the ex-wife of Detective Martin Hart.
History[]
Maggie Hart is the ex-wife of Martin Hart.
At the start of the series, she is a loving spouse who keeps the home and worries about Martin's health as he stays up late and doesn't come to bed. However, she begins to lose patience as she can sense that Martin is hiding something and has been drifting away from her. He refuses to open up or acknowledge her concerns, eventually citing his panic at turning 40. However, she eventually receives a visit from Lisa Tragnetti who tells her that Martin has been having an affair with her. Maggie kicks him out of the house. Once he arrives at the hospital where she works as a doctor to ask for forgivness, she tries to kick him out which makes him cause a scene.
A few months later, she takes her daughters to roller skate with their father, where she asks him if there were any other women that he slept with. He tells her no and they eventually reconcile after he promises to quit drinking.
A few years later, in 2002, she catches him having another affair when she notices he's thrown his clothing into the wash. She suspects he's been out drinking and while he's showering, she looks through his phone and finds provocative photos from a woman named "B" on his phone. She decides to go out and sleep with another man in order to keep Martin from coming back to her. She ends up surprising Rust at his place after he's just been suspended and drinking; she seduces him and they have sex. He immediately becomes suspicious of her after the act, and she tells him she knew that sleeping with Rust would irreparably destroy their and her relationship. Rust orders her to leave as she cries and apologizes to him.
In 2012, Maggie is pulled for questioning as the Yellow King murders have begun again. The detectives are now suspicious of Rust. She lies to the detectives about why Martin and Rust fought in 2002.
