Kate McKitterick is the manager of the local ice rink.
History[]
Kate was watching her son play hockey at the ice rink when Liz Danvers came in looking for her. Danvers said they had the scientists' bodies, but they were frozen in ice and they needed a place with sufficient space to thaw them, which meant using the ice rink. Kate agreed, but said she only did so because she loves Ennis. When the bodies were dropped on the ice, she was horrified and left immediately.[1]
On Christmas Eve, Kate caught Leah Danvers spray painting "MURDERERS" across the door of the mining office. Kate called Danvers and told her to come right away. Danvers said she would call some guys and have them come clean it up before the miners returned. Kate said she wanted to press charged, but Danvers told her not to mess with Leah's life just because she was mad at Danvers.[2]
Kate was angry after a protest at the mine. Kate asked for a meeting with Danvers and Connelly, but Danvers said that was the troopers' job. Connelly said that Kate had asked for Danvers to be there as Chief of Police and Danvers said she would be. Connelly surprised Davners by saying he'd be there as well.
At the meeting, Danvers blamed the chaos at the protest on the troopers. Then she tried to pivot the conversation to the mine funding Tsalal, but Kate interrupted to show Danvers security footage of her and Navarro on Silver Sky property. Danvers explained that they were looking for Clark. Kate then said it was good that it wasn't a murder case anymore. Connelly explained that forensics came back and they determined it was a sudden weather event. Danvers found that convenient because the mine was funding the station. Kate said she didn't see how that had anything to do with the scientists dying and left.
Kate then went to Hank and told him he needed to take care of Heiss, but made him emphasize that she never asked him to kill anyone. She promised him Danvers' job if he helped them.[3]
Relationships[]
She was married, but her husband had an affair with Liz Danvers.[1]
