Jim Dobkins is a recurring character in Season 3 of True Detective played by Josh Hopkins. Dobkins is a private attorney investigating the conviction surrounding the disappearance of Will and Julie Purcell in 1980. He takes Detective Wayne Hays' deposition on the case.
