Janice is a maid who cleaned Tsalal Arctic Research Station.
History[]
While investigating the deaths of the scientists at Tsalal, Danvers interviewed Janice about her work there, which included cleaning the station. Janice told her that the scientists were quiet and obsessed with their work. Lund once screamed at her for moving his notebooks. Clark would also hide when they came to clean and wouldn't let them into his room to clean it. Janice could hear him crying in there. The other scientists ignored it when Clark acted like that.[1]
She later attended a memorial for Aviaq Carter's stillborn son.[2]
When the women of the town, Janice among them, learned that the Tsalal scientists had killed Annie, they gathered together and went out to the station, where they gathered the men, drove them out into the wilderness, forced them to strip, and then sent them out into the snow for Annie to take them or not. When Danvers and Navarro pieced together part of what had happened, Bee told them what had happened, but only in the form of a story, without admitting fault. Danvers and Navarro accepted that and said that forensics showed that a slab avalanche had killed the scientists, meaning the case was officially closed.[3]
